Excited to say that two of my papers from my PhD have been accepted onto Biorxiv and are now publicly available!

The first paper is a long-standing project where we, for the first time, characterise the swimming behaviour and light-dependent motion of the most globally prominent member of the phytoplankton community – Micromonas!

The second reports a novel cell avoidance response to localised cell death, providing Micromonas with the ability to avoid local hazardous conditions such as predators or viral lysis (the above figure is taken from this paper!)

Its a big step for me and I’m really exicted to now be able to share this work with the wider scientific community!
